I am so excited to report on my appearance on Season 7 of Penn & Teller Fool Us ! My act aired on Monday, October 26th on The CW American television network in the 13th and very last episode of the 2020 season, "Jaws of Death". It was an incredible experience for me!
For those of you who
have never heard about this TV show, it is a famous showcase for magical acts
as well as a competition for magicians who attempt to fool the great Penn and
Teller! Penn Jillette and Teller watch
four magic acts per show and try to determine how the magician accomplished the
effect. If a magician’s methods fool
them, the magician leaves the stage with a large FU (Fooled Us!) trophy. Since debuting in 2011, almost 400 magicians
have performed on the Penn & Teller Theater stage located in the Rio Hotel
and Casino in Las Vegas. Just over 60 of
these performers have gone home with a trophy. This is not surprising when you understand
Penn and Teller are living magic encyclopedias and probably the most famous
magic duo still performing today. They have toured the world since the late 1970s,
always growing in popularity. You have probably
seen them in numerous films or television shows such as Loïs & Clark, The
Simpsons, Miami Vice, and so on. And they
have been performing live at the Rio almost every night for the past 18 years,
so they know a lot of magic!
As far as I am
concerned, I experienced several incredible moments thanks to the incredible P&T
staff! Without exception, everyone I came
in contact with was both competent and friendly. And trust me, there were many people to deal
with! Such a high caliber show requires a
large staff for sure, but their professionalism completely exceeded my
expectations. My thanks to all of you!
I left Las Vegas without a trophy but with great memories ! It is not every day you can be assisted in your act by the lovely Alyson Hannigan, famous actress and host of the show for the past five seasons. And although my methods did not fool them, Penn's kind words will be my trophy !
And let’s not forget
I had the privilege to be only the 10th or so French magician and the very first
Luxembourg artist to hit this mythical stage! Voila!
